For most, there\u2019s no need to apply, as it happens automatically. However, if you\u2019re on a low income and living in Scotland, you\u2019ll need to contact your energy provider directly to apply.<\/p>\n<p>If your energy supplier provides both gas and electricity, you might even be able to get the discount on your gas bill instead. It\u2019s worth giving them a call to see what\u2019s possible.<\/p>\n<h2>What about a Pre-Pay?<\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re on a pre-pay or pay-as-you-go electricity meter, don\u2019t worry\u2014you can still qualify for the Warm Home Discount.<\/p>\n<p>Your energy supplier will let you know how you\u2019ll receive the discount if you\u2019re eligible. This could be in the form of a voucher that you can use to top up your meter, so it\u2019s definitely worth checking with them to see what\u2019s available.<\/p>\n<h2>What if I think I am eligible and don\u2019t recieve it?<\/h2>\n<p>Contact your local Job Centre direct.
