Though because refinancing has fallen off a cliff, it wasn\u2019t too much different.<\/p>\n<p>UWM was also the #1 home purchase lender in Georgia with $3.2 billion funded, followed by Rocket Mortgage with $2.2 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Ameris Bank took third with $1.8 billion, and yes, Fairway Independent took fourth. They always tend to lead in this category.<\/p>\n<p>That was about 30% more than second place UWM, a testament to how active they are in the state.<\/p>\n<p>In third was Freedom Mortgage with $741 million, with Pennymac a more distant fourth with $443 million funded.<\/p>\n<p>In fifth was loanDepot, then streamline refinance specialist Village Capital, soon-to-be acquired Mr. Cooper, Truist, reviews to determine which mortgage companies are faring best in a particular state.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what I found for Georgia. Atlanta-based AmeriSave has a 4.66\/5 rating from over 2,400 reviews.
